It was Christmas eve and I was heading to bed. I wrote a list of all the things that I wanted but my parents said no. One of the biggest things I wanted was a Dinosaur, specifically a T-rex. I went to bed sad and angry that I couldn’t get a dinosaur. Before I fell asleep I made a wish to my snow globe that I bought with my five dollars and went back to sleep. The next morning I woke up to my mom screaming. My house was half broken because there was a dinosaur in my room. The dinosaur roared at me and that’s when I remembered that I made a wish the night before. My wish had come true. I hopped around joyfully that my wish had come true. Then I remembered that I couldn’t look after a dinosaur. The next day I fed my T-rex my whole fridge and gave him a name. His name was Big-T. Then he ran around the city while I was on his back. Then we got ice cream, I had chocolate and he had the whole truck. Then we went to sleep. I slept in my room and he slept outside. The next day he got hangry and destroyed our house to pieces. That I wished to my snowglobe that the dinosaur would go away the next day. Then I woke up to see that Big-T was gone. I celebrated with my mom joyfully. I was lying down in my treehouse when I heard a loud roar coming from across the street. I went to look and I found Big-T stomping on my neighbors house while my neighbors were screaming at the dinosaur. When I see Big-T I scream in anger because I thought that he was going to be gone forever.
SUMMER AT NANA AND PAPAS WRITING
The year of school had just ended and I spent the summer with my Nana and Papa. They live far away in the country. My mom drove me all the way to their house across the country.
I like going to their house because they have lots of cool stuff like bikes and shoes. When we got to my Nana and Papa’s house their were lots of people there. They said they let all of our neighbors inside for a sleepover. There were so many people that I had no space to sleep. I had to sleep outside with our 5 dogs. The dogs were Rocky, Bella, Kage, Bossy, and Juicy.
The next day all of the neighbors ate all of the food so i didn’t eat anything for breakfast.
It was the afternoon and I wanted to go back home but my house was around the county.
It hit at nighttime and I wanted to go back home. So I went inside to get the phone so I could call my mom to pick me up. The problem though was that the phone was upstairs and everyone was blocking the stairs when they were sleeping. I jumped on the people’s bellies and made it upstairs and my mom
picked me up the next morning.
The Gift That Wasn’t What It Seemed
It was December 23rd and a family of four were getting ready to fly over to Africa to meet their family and to spend Christmas there. Their was a Mom, a Dad, one girl and one boy.
They were at the American airport when suddenly their flight was boarding in 2 minutes. They ran as fast as a cheetah to their destination and just boarded the flight in time. The family had just landed in Africa. They drove two hours to their cousin’s house. When they got there they were greeted by their African cousins. After they had breakfast all together they started to open presents but then there was one more present. But the thing was that it was locked in a safe. The African cousins didn’t let the boy open that present. They fought over the key but then it was caught by the neighbour. Scared because he was being yelled at by both kids he ran away. Later that night the boy found the neighbor but he wouldn’t give the boy the key. Then the African cousin woke up and they fought once again. They fought till morning and both fell asleep a little bit after. The next morning the neighbor snuck into the house and hid the key inside a painting. The African cousin and the boy started to get along together. One morning they were playing passes when the boy accidentally hit the painting and the key fell out. The two boys looked at each other and both launched their bodies at the key. The boy got it and ran in a hurry to the door. The African cousin was right behind him. The boy quickly stuck the key in and opened the door. The prize was actually not a prize but one thousand deadly lions. THey both ran away in fear.

Recount: My Journey to School
→INTRODUCTION
Four years ago I walked to school. I went to school because I wanted to. It was fun walking to school. I walked fast so I could go to the bakery.
P1
In the morning I woke up at seven thirty. I washed my face and brushed my teeth. Then I changed into my clothes and did my hair. Then I ate cereal for breakfast. I packed my lunch and said goodbye to my mum. Then I went outside to pet my dog outside. Then I started walking.
P2
On my way I saw a dog running around the street. I also saw a lady with a cat. I crossed the road by myself and I started to walk up a hill. On my way I saw a man riding his bike down the hill. Then I saw a guy going for a jog in black shorts and a blue t-shirt. I could see my school in the distance but I had to make one quick stop just before I went to school.
P3
I stopped at the bakery to get something to eat before I went to class. I bought myself a pie and water to eat. Then I walked to the shops with my sister to get lollies. I ate half of the pie then I made my way to school. When I got to the cross I pushed the grey button to signal that I was crossing. Then I crossed the road and got to school. On my way to class I quickly went to the breakfast club. Finally I made it back to class.
CONCLUSION
At the end I felt happy and tired. The reason why I felt these emotions was because I was happy that I went to the bakery but I was tired that I had to walk all of the way to school.

P1
Earlier this year I had my final rugby league game. I had to wake up early because we had to go to Mt Albert. I was so tired that I was as slow as a sloth to get out of bed. I got ready to go and we left. On the way there I felt nervous about playing my last game. When I got there I felt a weird feeling in my stomach. As I walked onto the field I felt as nervous as a fly. When they kicked to us my teammate caught the ball and passed it to me and I ran with confidence and tried. Then they tapped the ball and ran it to me. I ducked and grabbed his legs.
P2
We played back and forth in the second half. The score was 22-26 with them winning. It was the final tackle and they kicked the ball high up into the sky. My teammate caught the ball and started to run. I ran next to him and he passed the ball to me. I scored the try with 5 minutes left and we won by 2 points. We celebrated cheerfully on the field as the ref blew the final whistle of the game. I was as happy as a clown at a birthday party.
P3
After the game we went into the club and started the prizegiving. I felt happy because I had a good game and I could get an award. On the way up though I felt like I would not get an award. When I got there I sat down in front of the award givers. And waited till it was my group the under 10s. As they called the awards I felt more nervous. Just before the awards finished for my group they called me and my teammates names for player of the year. I felt happy and excited because I got the player of the year.
CONCLUSION
At the end I felt happy, excited, tired, and celebrateful. The reason why I felt those feelings was because I was happy that I was finished and that I got player of the year with my teammate. I celebrated with my teammate outside the club.
