Today I am blogging Immersion assembly rotations. First at Miss Tuia’s class we were learning about beats. We had to create a video of us doing a song challenge with a beat.

Walkin’ the halls, stackin’ the knowledge, seein’ my friends, From morning bell ringin’ to the day’s journey ends. But there were moments that hit different, you know what I mean? The kind of memories that stay etched in the scene. First up, let’stalk about the big event, the chill spot, The Year 5 and 6 camp, right there on the school lot!

Pitched the tents, right out on our own school field, The night air was cool, and my nerves were revealed. Yeah, I gotta admit, felt a little shake in my boots, Sleepin’ outside, kinda deep down rootin’ for chutes. A bit of dread in my head, a shadow in sight, But then the daylight broke, and everything got bright. ‘Cause the call went out, “Time for the slip and slide!” And that’s the moment where the fear just died. Took a running start, a splash, a whoosh, a blur, Slidin’ fast, laughing loud, now that’s what I prefer! All the stress washed off, from nervous to happy and free, Best part of the camp, that’s the real victory.

The sun went down on the grass and the fun, But I knew on the calendar, my journey wasn’t done. I took that feeling from the water’s cool spray, The confidence I earned on that bright sunny day. Now I pack it all up, put the fear on the shelf, Got a new mission waiting, gotta prove it to myself! Headin’ inside, where the spotlight is gleaming, From the field to the stage, gotta keep on dreaming!
Then with Mrs Parrent we made a song. What we had to do was create a story and put it into Gemini to make a song with the story that we created.
Next we did beat boxing with Mr Hughes. What we had to do was create a video of us beatboxing.
Finally We did what is music. What we had to do was answer some questions about music. Then we had to create a beat from a game called heihei games.
