The first thing that aI had to do was answer some questions about the book. Then I had to list all of the big ideas my group and I found in the text. Then I had to decide the three that I thought were the best and write them below in the box. Finally I had to write what I thought the main theme was for the story and write it into a statement.
Today I am posting a blog for reading. We are learning to locate and summarise the main ideas from what I have read in my own words. The first thing that I had to do was complete the setting for the text that I did. Then I had to answer some questions about the book. I hope that you like my follow up task.
Hi im Marcus and this term my extension class are learning about music from around the world. So today I will be blogging my extension garageband project.
For the project I had to first pick a country. Then I had to research about that country. The country that I picked was Australia. Then we had to write down on a slide all of the musical instruments that I could find at the top of my head or from google. The I had to put up some famous musicians from Australia. Then after I did everything I had to go on garageband and make a song without lyrics to add for my extension task.
I added thigs like a digeridoo and even a wobble board. Then I had to look for other beats that made it sound more of australia. I had to look for loops that had the word australia. I had to research about songs from australia to match the songs to the loops that I was adding to my song. I also created my own loop for the task because most of my loops werent australian.
Thoughts/opinions/Challenges
I was exhausted because it took me super long but I finally accomplished my goal of finishing my extension blog post. I think that I could do better next time but I think that I did amazing. One of my hard challenges I had to face was searching through all the loops to find the right ones to add to my song. Another hard challenges that I faced was finding the loops that sounded Australian and not like a different country.
Conclusion
I was hard but at the end I felt happy, tired, and celebrateful. The reason why I felt those emotions were because I was happy that I had finished. However I was tired because it took me long to finished the task. Finally I felt celebrateful because it was all over with and I didin’t need to work on it at all.

Four years ago I walked to school. I went to school because I wanted to. It was fun walking to school. I walked fast so I could go to the bakery.

In the morning I woke up at seven thirty. I washed my face and brushed my teeth. Then I changed into my clothes and did my hair. Then I ate cereal for breakfast. I packed my lunch and said goodbye to my mum. Then I went outside to pet my dog outside. Then I started walking.

On my way I saw a dog running around the street. I also saw a lady with a cat. I crossed the road by myself and I started to walk up a hill. On my way I saw a man riding his bike down the hill. Then I saw a guy going for a jog in black shorts and a blue t-shirt. I could see my school in the distance but I had to make one quick stop just before I went to school.

I stopped at the bakery to get something to eat before I went to class. I bought myself a pie and water to eat. Then I walked to the shops with my sister to get lollies. I ate half of the pie then I made my way to school. When I got to the cross I pushed the grey button to signal that I was crossing. Then I crossed the road and got to school. On my way to class I quickly went to the breakfast club. Finally I made it back to class.
CONCLUSION At the end I felt happy and tired. The reason why I felt these emotions was because I was happy that I went to the bakery but I was tired that I had to walk all of the way to school.
This term we are learning about music and how it can affect us . We are also learning how we can express feelings through music. For my extension task I had to look at what country that I had to do for that slide. Then I had to find a video of a person playing a traditional song from that country. Then I had to put down what traditional instruments they used in the video then the special characteristics of the song and what type of genre of music it was. It was a little bit hard. The reason why it was hard is because I had to find a song that had the culture I needed while looking for the music genre and I had to watch every video as a whole to get the special characteristics. I learnt lots of things like some instruments that I didin’t know existed. I also learnt about instruments which originated from different countries and what music genres they were. At the end though I felt happy and shocked. The reason why I felt those emotions were because I was happy that I was finished and shocked that I didin’t know all of that stuff about music and instruments from other countries.

The first thing that I had to down was make the amount of money that it is. If it didin’t make sense I had to round it to the nearest ten. Then I had to put the greater or less than with the arrows. I hope you like my maths task.
