Iron Tamariki: Text Forms and Genre

Today I did a task for reading. We are learning to identify the audience and purpose of texts that entertain,inform and persuade. The first thing that I had to do was answer some questions about the book. Then I had to write down what was the text for and what type of text this was. The I had to write down what the text was about. Finally I had to write down who was this text for.

Today I did a task for writing. We are learning to  understand the different types of language features. THe were sevenn slides and each slide had a language feature on it. For Monday we had to do slide two and three witch was nouns,verbs,adjectives and adverbs. Then on tuesday we had to do slide four and five witch were simile,metaphor personification and alliteration. Finally on wensday we had to do the last two slide onomatopoeia,hyperbole 1st person and third person.

Then I had to write down the language feature that I found in the book and write how it effects the story and why did the author use this feature.

Research Task: Cook Islands Language Week 2025

Today I did a task for the Cook islands language week. The first thging that we had to do was write down some quick facts about cook islands. Then I had to write down why this years them is so important then I had to put down a video of cook island people dancing. Next thing I had to do was write down some words in cook island then I had to record myself saying those words. After that I had to write things down about music and dance then I had to put up a video of people dancing. Then I had to talk all about the cook islands food. Finally I had to talk all about cook islands art.

T3W4 Multiplication B3

Today I did a task for maths. We are learning to multiply a 2 digit number by a 2 digit number. The first thing that I had to do was I had to look at the two numbers and put them into place value. Once I got it into place value I had to times both of the ones then one of the tens and one of the ones then the other ten and one then both of the tens. When I finished all of the times I had to add it all together. Then I had to answer the questions with my working out.

Today I did a task for reading. We are learning to infer how characters may be feelings when they are not explicitly stated. The first thing that I had to do was answer five questions about the book. Than I had to pick two of the five questions and record me asking the question then answering it. Finally I had to write the characters name the page number. Then I had to write the emotion that they were feeling on that page and why. I had to write four of those.

Today I am blogging a task for my reading and writing. On the monday slide we had to look in an artical and take a sentence from the 10 words that we were given. Then on tuesday we had the same words but we had to write the defenition of those words. next on wedsnday we had to write the same 10 words but then we h ad to write three other words for each word. The three different words had to be synonyms. After on the thursday slide I had tonwrite the ten words but put them in alphebetic order. Then finally on the friday slide I had to had to write the 10 words but then we had to write the same ten words in an other language
